  • Perform and manage equipment in strict adherence to established protocols throughout endoscopic procedures.
  • Assist in prepping the room for the next patient, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition.
  • Assure that all endoscope equipment is in flawless working order.
  • Hang, set up, troubleshoot, and test the function of endoscopes (suction, air/water, irrigation, etc.) before procedures begin.
  • Prepare and transport patients for surgery, providing compassionate care and support.
  • Adjust lights and equipment as needed to facilitate procedures.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants, ensuring a seamless operation.
  • Hold retractors, cut sutures, and help count sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments during endoscopy procedures.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in operating and managing endoscopy tools.
  • Proficient critical thinking capabilities and meticulous eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand work-related documents.
  • Familiarity with endoscopic procedures and related clinical practices.
  • Effective listening and communication skills to collaborate with the surgical team successfully.
  • Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology or a related field required.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
