About The Position

Memorial Hermann Texas International Endoscopy Center is a premier outpatient surgical facility dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and efficient environment. Our center features 1 Operating Room and 3 Treatment Rooms, equipped with advanced technology that enables our surgeons to perform a variety of procedures in the specialty area of Gastroenterology. We are committed to excellence, innovation, and compassionate service for every patient we serve. We are seeking a Endoscopy Technician with experience in both scrub tech duties and sterile processing to join our PRN team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and passionate about maintaining the highest standards of surgical support and instrument sterilization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technology certificate/associate program preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Nice To Haves

  • Certification such as CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CFER (Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor) preferred, but not always required

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and stored
  • Assist surgical team by anticipating needs during procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control policies
  • Perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments
  • Monitor sterilizer cycles and document quality assurance checks
  • Support room turnover and restocking of surgical supplies
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and SPD staff to ensure seamless operations
  • Follow all facility policies, safety regulations, and accreditation standards
