Schedule: Per Diem Shift : Days The community you'll be caring for : AdventHealth Daytona Beach - 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Daytona Beach, 32117 The role you'll contribute: The Endoscopy Associate assists the physician and RN in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prepares and maintains the endoscopy equipment, transports the patient, assists in patient care delivery under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. The value you'll bring to the team: + Prepares patients for procedures under the direction of a registered nurse. + Identifies recording errors/artifacts and reacts appropriately. + Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each individual endoscopy procedure. + Follows standard of practice according to Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA). Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Surgical Technician, OR SGNA GI Technical Specialist (GTS), OR SGNA Advanced GI Technical Specialist (AGTS).

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for procedures under the direction of a registered nurse.
  • Identifies recording errors/artifacts and reacts appropriately.
  • Prepares room in a timely manner with all anticipated supplies and equipment for each individual endoscopy procedure.
  • Follows standard of practice according to Association of perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) and Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA). Performs other duties as assigned.
