About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician/Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in assisting the endoscopy team during outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology and Ophthalmology. This position involves preparing and maintaining sterile environments, assisting with patient care, and managing inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations in the surgical center.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Medical Assistant certification
• CPR certification
• 2+ years of experience in an established endoscopy center (preferred but not required)
• Working knowledge of standard Gastroenterology procedures (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Assist the endoscopy team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Prepare and move patients safely to and from the treatment area.
• Clean and maintain the endoscopy room post-procedure.
• Arrange and inventory sterile set-ups for operations.
• Maintain and track inventory of supplies according to facility procedures.
• Store prepared articles and supplies in designated areas.
• Provide centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility.
