About The Position

Assists nurses and physicians with general endoscopic procedures and related services. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One year experience working in a patient care setting is required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technician or EMT education program is required.
  • In lieu of education; two years experience as a GI Technician will be accepted.
  • Good interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize, concentrate and pay close attention to details.
  • State Licensing is required for those that complete the CNA or EMT program.
  • Completion of Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
