About The Position

The Endoscopy Technician has responsibility to provide direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the RN or licensed independent practitioner.

Requirements

• 1 year of acute care experience in a patient care related position.
• AHA BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of work experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting.
• Successful completion of a Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Program and appropriate certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and the plan of care.
• Function under the direction of a licensed independent practitioner, manager, and/or RN in providing patient care.
• Provide emotional support and problem solving in accordance with hospital, nursing, and unit policy/procedure.
• Obtain prior approval or guidance from supervisor for time/schedule changes and legal issues.
