Job Summary Endoscopy Tech, FT Varied shift Full time; 4–10-hour shifts that will vary anytime between 6:30a-7p Call required BLS required Endo tech experience preferred This position is located at Memorial Hermann the Woodlands. Position responsible for assisting the physician in the operating room/endoscopy services under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an Endoscopy Technician Certification Program or one year of equivalent healthcare experience required.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• BLS required

Nice To Haves

• Endo tech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with endoscopy procedures as assigned by a registered nurse delivering appropriate care to clients according to the Endoscopy Skills Inventory.
• Obtains and prepares supplies and instruments according to the individual physician preferences; restocks supplies, and maintains the endoscopy rooms.
• Assists in the scheduling and rescheduling of patients.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
