About The Position

The patient will be cared for in a safe and efficient manner. The Endoscopy Tech will be an experienced and knowledgeable individual trained in the area of endoscopy. The Endoscopy Tech participates as a member of the Endoscopy team under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse. Specific patient populations to whom care is provided include adults, adolescents and children with gastrointestinal disorders/diseases.

Requirements

• Must be currently licensed as a Licensed Practical NurseOrHigh school graduate or equivalent with a minimum of two years previous endoscopy tech experience.
• Must be a graduate of a Licensed Practical Nurse programOrHigh school graduate/equivalent with a minimum of two years previous endoscopy tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during Endoscopy procedures:
• Assists in care and handling of professional equipment and supplies:
• Demonstrates good interpersonal relationships:
• Maintains employment records in accordance with hospital policy:
• Maintains and increases standards of performance and education:
• Knowledgeable of all hospital safety related codes:
• Performs other duties as requested.
• Follows North Oaks Health System's Compliance Program and Federal and State Regulatory guidelines.
• Displays competence in applying age specific criteria to all patients.
