This is a full time (M-F) position located at the Anderson Medical Pavilion in La Jolla. It has an 8 hour rotating start time of 0700,0800,0830. Responsible for assisting in the performance of Endoscopy procedures within scope of practice and under direct supervision of Registered Nurse/Physician. Prepares patients for assessment, procedure, and post-op observation as per standards of patient care and specific procedure to be performed. Conducts manual cleaning of endoscopes per manufacturing guidelines and/or Infection Control Flexible Endoscopy program.

Requirements

• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• EMT or CNA.
• S.G.N.A. Associates Program-GI Technical Specialist Certification
• Previous procedural technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the performance of Endoscopy procedures within scope of practice and under direct supervision of Registered Nurse/Physician.
