Job Summary PRN Endoscopy Tech PRN (as needed); Days (starting at 6:30am until no longer needed) Call required – 1 call shift/ 6 weeks BLS required (American Heart Assoc) 1+ years of Endo Tech experience preferred Hospital experience required This position is located at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital. Position responsible for assisting the physician in the operating room/endoscopy services under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Assistant or the equivalent combination in education
• training, and experience
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and to perform basic mathematical calculations
• BLS required (American Heart Assoc)
• Hospital experience required

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year experience as a nurse assistant or equivalent healthcare experience
• 1+ years of Endo Tech experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with endoscopy procedures as assigned by a registered nurse delivering appropriate care to clients according to the Endoscopy Skills Inventory.
• Obtains and prepares supplies and instruments according to the individual physician preferences; restocks supplies, and maintains the endoscopy rooms.
• Assists in the scheduling and rescheduling of patients.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
• Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.
• Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences.
