About The Position

The Endoscopy Tech position is a PRN role focused on assisting in the nursing care of endoscopic patients. The tech will perform various duties related to endoscopic procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including scope cleaning and high-level disinfection, while ensuring safety and quality in a high-volume environment.

Requirements

• Post High School vocational/specialized training in a medical field or 2 years equivalent experience.
• One (1) year of healthcare experience is required.
• Working knowledge of proper scope cleaning and sterilization.
• Effective communication and service skills.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year of experience in a GI, OR or relevant area.
• PCT, MA or CNA Certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the nursing care of endoscopic patients during procedures.
• Perform scope cleaning and high-level disinfection.
• Monitor the chemical processes of the Automated Endoscope Reprocessor (AER).
• Set up rooms for endoscopic procedures.
• Provide bedside assistance to patients.
