About The Position

Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of the Endoscopy Unit, provides care for diagnostic and therapeutic gastroenterological equipment. Responsible for the quality and effectiveness of the Endoscopy Unit equipment. Provides technical assistance during procedures under direction of the physician.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program strongly preferred.
• Sterile processing training course strongly preferred.
• Previous sterile processing or instrument technician experience strongly preferred.
• BLS healthcare provider certification required within 3 months of hire.
• Certificate of completion from accredited surgical technology program preferred.
• Sterile Processing Technician certification from IAHCSMM or CBSPD preferred.
• SGNA certification preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Computer skills required.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.

Nice To Haves
