About The Position

I. Position Summary: The Staff RN directs, supervises, plans, staffs, coordinates, and controls function of the Surgery Center, under the direction of the OR Coordinator and/or the Director. Provides professional nursing care to an assigned patient population. Plans and directs all in accordance with the Surgery Center policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA.
• Current AHA/ARC BLS certification.
• Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS and AHA/ARC PALs certifications or obtained within nine (9) months of date of hire.
• Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy.
• Must be able to utilize diagnostic equipment as well as patient care equipment.
• Must be able to utilize personal protective equipment such as gloves, gown, mask, etc.
• Must be able to utilize standard office equipment.
• Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Midas, etc.).
• Proficiency in Intranet/Internet use.
• Excellent patient care skills.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills.
• Skilled in conflict resolution, critical thinking, task management and appropriate prioritization/delegation.
