About The Position

Baptist Health is the largest healthcare system serving central Alabama, providing comprehensive hospital-based and outpatient services. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the general supervision and coordination of activities of nursing personnel on shift, including weekends and holidays, to ensure quality and continuity of patient care. This individual will utilize the nursing process for patient assessments, planning of care, and performance of care interventions, collaborating with Physicians and other healthcare clinicians in the planning and implementation of patient care. Additional duties within the scope of the role may be assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing required
• Active RN licensure required
• BLS required
• Ability to observe, assesses, and record work, safety and infection control standards
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree preferred
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, etc) may be required depending upon area assigned

Responsibilities
