General Summary The Endoscopy Technician assists the physician with Endoscopy procedures and coordinates the daily activities associated with the care and handling, to include maintenance of flexible endoscopes used by in the Endoscopy Center. This includes, but not limited to, decontamination, inspection, testing, packing, high level disinfection and/or sterilization repair tracking, documentation, storage and distribution. This incumbent will also serve as an expert advisor to the Endoscopy Center leadership in regard to endoscope reprocessing by staying current with industry best practices, standards and regulations. Great customer service and critical thinking skills are required for interaction with customers and co-workers.
