Your job is more than a job. The Endoscopy Reprocessing Technician is responsible for cleaning and high-level disinfection of a variety of endoscopes and accessories. Maintains Quality Assurance (QA) and tracking data logs, stores instruments, and stock supplies. Provides support for the reprocessing of flexible endoscopes and related devices and equipment per manufacturer and organizational instructions and adheres to all infection control policies at the organization. Your Everyday Cleans and disinfects a variety of endoscopes and endoscopic accessories. Monitors endoscopes and instruments to ensure they are performing at optimal levels. Identifies and labels instruments for processing and high-level disinfection expiration. Operates and maintains automated endoscope reprocessing equipment utilizing proper operating procedures and methods in accordance with manufacturers recommended parameters. Follows policy procedures protocols and infection control guidelines. Maintains patient data and quality control logs. Oversees the care, handling, and maintenance of endoscopes. Inspects endoscopes and reports broken equipment to supervisor. Cleans the endoscopes properly and dries and stores endoscopes. Stores instruments and supplies using proper stocking and storage techniques. Maintains a safe and clean work area. The Must-Haves Minimum: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent OR 2 years of work experience Knowledge of infection control principles including proper cleaning and disinfectant techniques Attention to detail and the ability to use equipment and tools safely and correctly Preferred: Diploma from an approved Sterile Processing Program 1 year of work experience in health care, supply management, or operating department or procedure room experience Certified Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (CFER) or CBSPD WORK SHIFT: Days (United States of America) LCMC Health is a community.
