About The Position

Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – Contract / Travel We are seeking an experienced Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. This role is ideal for nurses with GI/endoscopy experience who are looking for a local contract or travel opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care to patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. Assist physicians with endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies, EGDs, ERCPs, and other GI procedures. Prepare procedure rooms with necessary equipment and supplies. Administer and monitor sedation, assess patient responses, and maintain patient safety. Monitor vital signs and patient status throughout procedures and recovery. Maintain strict infection prevention and safety protocols. Accurately document procedures, assessments, and patient care in the EMR system. Collaborate with gastroenterologists, anesthesiologists, and other members of the endoscopy team. Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Recent Endoscopy/GI Lab nursing experience. EMR experience required, with ability to chart accurately in a GI/endoscopy environment. BLS certification (AHA required). ACLS and PALS certifications required. Strong critical thinking and patient assessment skills. Ability to remain focused and calm in fast-paced procedural settings. Requirements
