About The Position

Gastro Health is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join our outpatient endoscopy center in Longwood, Florida. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients undergoing GI procedures while supporting efficient clinic flow and adherence to clinical standards. As an Endoscopy RN with Gastro Health, you will: Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures, including pre-, intra-, and post-procedure assessments Administer conscious sedation and topical anesthetics under physician supervision Assist physicians before, during, and after procedures Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in condition Provide post-anesthesia care and discharge patients according to protocol Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery Ensure accurate, timely documentation of patient care and procedures Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant clinical environment Reprocess endoscopic equipment in accordance with center protocols Inspect, operate, and troubleshoot equipment and maintain supply inventory Maintain competency and current knowledge across all GI procedures Participate in quality initiatives, committees, staff meetings, and in-service education Support procedure room preparation, flow, and turnover Train and mentor nursing staff as needed Perform additional duties as assigned by the Endoscopy Manager

Requirements

  • Current Florida RN license (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience preferred
  • BLS and ACLS required

Nice To Haves

  • Recovery room experience a plus
  • IV skills are a plus

Responsibilities
