Schedule: Per Diem RN- must provide 16 shifts in a 6-month time frame Job Summary Our Endoscopy nurses coordinate and provide all aspects of nursing care related to care before, during and after procedures, and collaborates with all disciplines to achieve the defined patient outcomes. This is a Monday-Friday department. The Registered Nurse is a professional nurse registered in Massachusetts who is responsible and accountable for planning and providing patient care for assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards of Care as set forth in the Nursing Department's Clinical Practice Manual. The registered nurse demonstrates initiative, knowledge and clinical skills in caring for the patient with complex needs. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to effectively manage patients by assuming full responsibility for the assessment, plan, implementation and evaluation of patient care and is directly responsible to a designated nurse manager, or supervisor. The Staff Nurse will also assure the practice of the Patient and Family Centered Care Model in an environment that exemplifies best practice. Requirements

  • BSN Required
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required
  • BLS/ACLS Certification- Required
  • Excellent IV insertion skills-Required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills-required
  • Strong critical thinking/analytical /priority setting skills-required
  • Ability to adhere to the ICARE standards-required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Gastroenterology Nursing Experience- strongly preferred
  • Prior Procedural Nursing Experience-strongly preferred
