About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, medical and/or surgical, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. The NP provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population in the ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and/or procedural setting. This includes performing complete histories and physical examinations, ordering, interpreting, and evaluating appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests, and developing appropriate plans of care based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings. The NP consistently provides high quality and timely documentation including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries. Additionally, the NP performs bedside procedures as appropriate to the patient population and orders medications and writes prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] preferred.
  • Nurse Practitioner [NP] / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] [State License] preferred.
  • Experience as a nurse practitioner 0-1 year preferred.
