Endoscopy Nurse, GI – Full Time, Fairfax, VA
About The Position
Gastro Health is seeking a full time registered nurse to join their outpatient endoscopy center in Fairfax, VA. In this role, the nurse will provide exceptional patient care during endoscopic procedures, including preparing patients, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining a sterile environment. Collaboration with the healthcare team, patient education, procedure documentation, and adherence to quality standards are also key aspects of the role. Gastro Health is an extensive and diverse group of professionals dedicated to digestive and liver health, with over 140 locations in seven states. They are seeking an Endoscopy Nurse Lead to support their continued growth in Fairfax, Virginia.
Requirements
- Current Virginia RN license (required)
- BLS and ACLS required
Nice To Haves
- Recovery room experience a plus
- IV skills are a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist the physicians to provide direct patient care for colonoscopy & endoscopy procedures
- Completion of admission assessments
- Monitor patients receiving IV moderate sedation
- Oversee and participate in the preparation and flow of the procedure room
- Preparation for discharging patients
- Post-anesthesia care
