About The Position

Performs a variety of tasks inclusive of transportation, endoscope reprocessing, assists with patient positioning, pre-procedure preparation/post procedure tasks and secretarial duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0 - 6 months related experience.
• Demonstrates an understanding of disease transmission, hazardous body fluids and OSHA standards to ensure workplace and personal safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of high level disinfection with scope handling, scope cleaning, and scope transport.

Responsibilities

• Performs independent procedural tasks such as transporting in such a manner that provides for patient safety.
• Assists with patient positioning and pre-procedure preparation in a manner that demonstrates knowledge of patient safety and skin integrity.
• Performs environmental activities to maintain a clean and orderly endoscopy suite.
• Performs secretarial/clerical functions, interviews patients and families to obtain/verify information, utilizing strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Performs post procedure tasks that demonstrate knowledge and ensure patient safety.
