The Endoscopy Technician plays a key role in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment, supporting both clinical and technical aspects of patient care. This multi‑task position is responsible for scheduling procedures, performing computer data entry for pH studies, and assisting in the procedure room. The Endoscopy Technician oversees all task‑based Gastroenterology activities. Core endoscopy responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Cleaning and disinfecting scopes Preparing equipment for sterilization Preparing scopes for repair Tracking repairs, setting up procedure rooms Maintaining disinfection logs Ensuring all supplies are stocked for procedure rooms, the dirty utility room, and the clean utility room The role also involves assisting the nurse with patient admission to the procedure room.
