We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As an Endocrinology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with endocrine disorders, including diabetes, thyroid conditions, and other hormone-related issues. Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Endocrinology
  • Must have great organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive healthcare services and coordinate patient care
  • Assessing and treating patients with endocrinology diseases and conditions
  • Work closely with a team of healthcare professionals
  • Assess, diagnose, and treat residents' physical and mental well-being
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews and physical examinations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Prescribe medication and administer treatments
  • Provide counseling to residents and their families
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for seamless coordination of care
  • Manage chronic conditions and monitor progress
  • Make appropriate adjustments to care plans
  • Commitment to person-centered care
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for elderly residents in the nursing home
