About The Position

Endocrinologist (MD) | Full-Time Location: Shelton, Connecticut A well-established, community-focused healthcare organization in the Shelton, Connecticut area is actively seeking a full-time Endocrinologist (MD) to join its growing specialty care team. The organization maintains an academic affiliation with the Yale School of Medicine, offering opportunities for teaching, mentorship, and professional growth. Position Overview Provide comprehensive outpatient endocrine care, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of endocrine disorders Manage conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal and pituitary disorders, osteoporosis, and metabolic diseases Perform and interpret diagnostic testing related to endocrine function Develop individualized treatment plans with a focus on evidence-based care and patient education Utilize advanced diabetes management tools including CGM and insulin pump therapy Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital-based teams Utilize EMR for timely and accurate documentation Participate in shared call coverage (phone-only, minimal burden) Collaborate with advanced practice providers, diabetes educators, and support staff Opportunities to participate in academic and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
  • Eligible for Connecticut State medical licensure
  • Active or eligible DEA registration
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care

Responsibilities
