About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Endoscopy provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center. This care is delivered in accordance with physicians' orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nurse practice in the State of Georgia, and the Center's policies and procedures. The RN is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care provided to patients, having contact with the patient in each phase of their experience. The role requires the individual to be self-directed and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Travel to a sister center may be required.
Requirements
- Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
- Completion of Airway Management Module is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation
- Score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test
Nice To Haves
- Experience in GI endoscopy preferred
- Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged
- ACLS certification is recommended, but optional
