About The Position

Novant Health is seeking an END Tech to perform technical procedures and functions for electrodiagnostics. Performs all department procedures and supervises other technologists as well as assists management in technical accountability of services. Demonstrated competence in at least one additional area of neurodiagnostics: Evoked Potentials to include SSPs, BAERs, and VEPs, Intraoperative Monitoring, Nerve Conduction Studies, SPECT scans, WADAs, LTEM, and Tilt table with video EEGs. Requirements

  • Associates Degree Required
  • Two years of formal neurodiagnostics training required
  • Graduation from an accredited school of electroneurodiagnostics strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five years experience in neurodiagnostics procedures or a minimum of two years experience in surgical monitoring/CNIM
  • Registered/certified in a neurodiagnostics field

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated competence in at least one additional area of neurodiagnostics: Evoked Potentials to include SSEPs, BAERs, and VEPs, Intraoperative Monitoring, Nerve Conduction Studies, SPECT scans, WADAs, LTEM, AFTs and Tilt table with video EEGs
  • Knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)' age
  • Ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs
  • Maintain CPR certification
  • Ability to identify basic cardiac rhythm and rate
  • Ability to rotate call independently
  • Ability to interpret basic encephalographic brain patterns; normal and abnormal
