The END Technologist II at Children's Hospital Colorado is responsible for overseeing the work of END Technologists I and performing a variety of procedures related to Electroneurodiagnostics. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to analyze waveforms and patterns, although it does not involve data interpretation. The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week, and involves working with pediatric patients in a specialized epilepsy monitoring unit.

  • Assist with special procedures such as SPECT injection, GRID placement, and ECOG.
  • Assist with special projects during non-patient care downtime.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment and ensure the lab is in good and clean condition; report malfunctions to the Clinical Coordinator or Manager as needed.
  • Complete all paperwork/forms for procedures being conducted and follow up with archiving of records.
  • Follow the International 10-20 system for proper electrode application.
  • Identify and perform basic and intermediate technical troubleshooting and artifact identification and elimination.
  • Maintain current knowledge to ensure a safe working environment and demonstrate practical application of all policies & procedures related to safety, infection control, standard precautions, and risk management.
  • Observe, notate, and analyze ongoing clinical and technical changes, adjusting testing procedures as appropriate for individual recording sessions.
  • Perform ambulatory EEGs.
  • Perform special procedure EEGs such as neonatal recordings, ECS recordings, and PET scan recordings.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in Electroneurodiagnostics, including clinical experience and six months of pediatric experience.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR certification.
  • ABRET Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG.T) license.
