The END technologist plays an essential role in the diagnosis of brain diseases (such as epilepsy or stroke), injury and tumors. The END technologist performs these diagnostic tests with an instrument that records brain waves. The END technologist attaches electrodes to specific areas of the patient's head to measure differences in the amplitude and frequency of electrical potentials between various parts of the brain.

  • Perform neuro-diagnostic procedures under supervision from a Neurologist.
  • Attach electrodes to specific areas of the patient's head.
  • Record brain waves and measure electrical potentials.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an accredited END program preferred.
  • Registered or certified in Neuro-Diagnostic Testing, or eligible per ABRET END Exam Eligibility Requirements.
  • Must be Certified Registered EEG T. within one year of obtaining role.
  • Demonstrate competence performing neuro-diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision.
  • Ability to act in good judgment in decision-making responsibilities.
  • Ability to work with patients of all ages, ranging from neonates to elderly adults.
  • Basic knowledge of computers useful.
