Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to write, read and comprehend simple instructions in English, short correspondence, and memos. Good verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Basic computer skills to input data into the database.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • This position requires the employee to obtain and maintain a current food handler’ permit.
  • English Proficiency required.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and converse and listen.
  • The employee must exert up to 90 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 40 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure all personnel, full-time or temporary, has the training necessary before working in the area.
  • Make sure employees follow quality, safety, and other work standards and policies, with the empowerment to initiate and implement disciplinary action when necessary.
  • See that transition of shifts is done smoothly and efficiently.
  • Ensure Encaps Tech’s are following Machine/Operator work order assignments.
  • Be watchful that process is done meeting expectations of quality, machine control, and work efficiency.
  • See that time standards of, cleaning room and machines, assembling machines, and processing the product are met.
  • Complete written reports as needed and distribute in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that incoming product is organized, accessible, free of contamination, and easily identified.
  • Supply operators with materials as needed including but not limited to:: o Powder barrels o Empty barrels lined with clean plastic bags. o Capsules o Plastic bags o Tools and other things as needed.
  • Readily remove and process barrels of finished capsules from the encapsulating rooms as soon as they come out: o Weigh o Log o Label o And keep separate from other product.
  • Ensure supplies are available for team members as needed including but not limited to: o Gloves o Shoe covers o Masks o Zip ties o Scale trays, etc.
  • Ensure Tech’s are assisting operators with machine set up by providing them with clean parts or other things as needed.
  • Ensure Tech’s are assisting operators with cleanup and sanitation of the rooms as needed.
  • Check finish product against Work Order ensure everything is correct and report any errors to the supervisor.
  • Must contribute to department team incentive goals. Team incentive goals and rewards are based on productivity, in both quantity and quality of work and the accuracy to which the job and/or processes are completed.
  • Support of and involvement in company, department, and/or safety policies, procedures, programs, and activities.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
