As an “Emulation & Prototyping Methodology & Automation Expert” in our Advanced Chip Engineering (ACE) organization, you will work in a dynamic environment to develop methodology, flows and tools to improve efficiency and quality of results for enabling pre-silicon emulation and prototyping platforms for SoC and IP verification, validation and software teams across the organization. You'll be a technical lead working closely with other domain experts in architecture, IP/SoC design, verification, validation and SW teams to architect, design and develop state-of-the-art methodology and automation for emulation & prototyping, by applying your VLSI, emulation & prototyping experience, programming skills and leveraging existing internal and external EDA SW tools and libraries. This opportunity is within ACE 'Design Methodologies and Automation' organization, a cross-functional team responsible for developing methodology and automation to improve efficiency and quality of results for end-to-end design, verification, emulation and implementation of the IP, Sub-Systems and SoCs for the Automotive Processors and Advanced microcontrollers in NXP. The right candidate will be working in a fast-paced engineering environment, on a leading-edge advanced node technologies enabling automated building of exciting and complex SoCs. In this role, you will work in close collaboration with Architecture, IP design, SoC Design, Verification, Implementation and Design Enablement teams to drive new ways of working, improvements to current ways of working, addressing design quality challenges and continuously improve NXP Semiconductors emulation and prototyping flows. While developing these new ways of working, successful candidates will be working on actual designs and implementation to pilot and develop the automation. Successful candidates will utilize their extensive experience in emulation & prototyping methodology, VLSI CAD Software development to identify organizational needs and deliver creative solutions based on those needs.
