EMU Monitoring Technician - Full-time/Nights
About The Position
The EMU Monitoring Technician is an unlicensed, multi-skilled team member who provides continuous observation and monitoring of patients undergoing Video EEG (VEEG) studies in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). This role focuses on patient safety, seizure recognition, communication, and documentation while working closely with EEG technologists, nurses, and physicians. Requirements
- High School Diploma (required)
- Program Graduation from a patient care program (i.e. MA, CNA, EMT) (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
- ASET LTM 100 certification (required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position)
Nice To Haves
- Associates Degree Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Neurodiagnostic (ND) program (preferred)
- Minimum one (1) year Work experience in Neurology, EMU, EEG, or continuous patient observation settings (preferred)
- Medical terminology skills preferred
- Bilingual Skills Preferred
