The Basic EMT has the responsibility and accountability for assuring the delivery of quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages using proper techniques and following the standards of care as established by Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division, and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

Deliver quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages.
Use proper techniques in accordance with established standards of care.
Follow guidelines set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division.
Work under the direction of the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s).

High school diploma or GED required.
Meets Indiana State EMT-Basic guidelines.
Hold a valid state EMT-Basic certification.
CPR certification required.
Valid driver's license.
One year experience preferred.
Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
Ability to lift 100 pounds and assist with 300 pounds.
