About The Position
The Brookings Ambulance is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Technician to join our team! Home for us is the newly built Ambulance Station and Education Center just south of the Brookings Health System. We provide emergency 911 Advanced Life Support (ALS) services for the City of Brookings, much of the county of Brookings including the communities of Aurora, Bruce, Bushnell, Sinai, and Volga. Brookings Ambulance also assists area ambulance services from Arlington, Clear Lake, Elkton, Estelline, White, and Lake Preston when requested and provides EMS coverage for several events in the community such as SDSU, Dacotah Bank Center, and other sporting activities. The Brookings Ambulance also transfers critical and non-critical patients to other hospitals, most frequently in Sioux Falls. Compensation range for this position for an EMT is $16.29 to $24.12, depending on experience. Continuing education and ongoing training provided.
Requirements
- Licensed in the State of South Dakota as an EMT or Paramedic, or able to obtain licensure.
- Provide excellent customer service, be flexible, able to adapt to a constantly changing work environment, make independent decisions and document in a detailed manner.
Nice To Haves
- Previous ambulance experience is preferred but not required.
