Provides emergency and nonâemergency treatment and transportation in the pre-hospital and inter-hospital environments at the basic life support level. Works with a variety of people and organizations on a professional level to provide care to patients and the community. Essential Functions Provides pre-hospital emergency patient care within the scope of an EMT in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Completes all patient care documentation adequately according to DOH and departmental guidelines and requirements within a twenty-four hour timeframe. Operates emergency vehicles within the Pennsylvania laws governing the operation of such vehicles. Performs routine inspections as required, inventory, and maintenance of all patient care equipment. Performs station as needed as assigned. Maintains familiarity with, and follows all rules of the hospital’s policies and procedures as outlined in the administrative and department policies or procedure manuals. Agrees to comply with the Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, rules, regulations, and standards of conduct relating to the position and has a duty to report any suspected violations of the law or the standards of conduct to his or her immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer.
