About The Position

The Basic EMT is responsible for delivering quality pre-hospital care to patients of all ages, ensuring adherence to established standards of care as set by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security - EMS Division and the Parkview Health EMS Medical Director(s). This role requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to perform under pressure in emergency situations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Meets Indiana State EMT-Basic guidelines and holds a valid state EMT-Basic certification.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver's license is necessary.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must meet insurability requirements under Parkview Health vehicle and liability insurance policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position, including the ability to lift 100 pounds and assist with 300 pounds.
