About The Position

The EMT (AEMT OR EMTB) position at AmeriPro Health involves providing patient care in both emergency and non-emergency environments. The role requires compliance with all State EMS rules and regulations, ensuring that all ambulance equipment and vehicles are clean and in proper working condition. The EMT will float to Benton and Copperhill locations to cover call-outs and PTO, working part-time on 24-hour shifts. The position is part of the EMS service line, responding to 911 calls and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
  • State specific Emergency Medical Technician certification/licensure in good standing.
  • Current National Registry certification if applicable by state law.
  • Current CPR: BLS certification.
  • Valid state specific Drivers’ license.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
  • Strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • FEMA IS certs: (IS-100; IS-200; IS-700; IS-800)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as an EMT or in a similar medical role.
  • Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and/or International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) training.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all calls for service dispatched from the AmeriPro EMS communications center as directed.
  • Provide care and treatment to patients according to company policy and the company medical director protocols.
  • Ensure ambulance and all equipment is cleaned and checked daily, reporting any deficiencies immediately.
  • Prepare and complete appropriate reports including Patient Care Reports (PCR), billing, exposure reports, incident reports, and unit check-offs.
  • Ensure unit and crewmembers adhere to AmeriPro EMS policies, procedures, guidelines, directives, and standards.
  • Ensure vehicle compliance with required laws, rules, licenses, and regulations.
  • Maintain a state of readiness and professionalism while on-duty.
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients.
