About The Position

This position is 2nd shift and requires certification. The role involves providing medical care ranging from minor incidents to acting as a first responder. The individual will support and assist Safety Managers in coordinating and managing health services, maintain workers compensation information for claims, and help schedule doctor visits and transportation. Additionally, the position includes coordinating and performing pre-employment physicals and drug testing (post-offer, accident, and random). The candidate will develop and implement employee health and wellness programs such as health assessments, immunization programs, medical care, wellness education, counseling, etc. Maintaining an active and positive ongoing relationship with the local occupational health clinic is also essential. The role requires managing hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection, and ergonomics programs, including the development and delivery of employee training. Other relevant duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) required.
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
  • Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA regulations.
  • Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Prior occupational health experience within a similar environment preferred.
