Justification The Mass General Brigham Medical Group is a system-led operating entity formed by Mass General Brigham to deliver high quality, low cost, innovative community-based ambulatory care. This work stems from Mass General Brigham’s unified system strategy to bring health care closer to patients while lowering total health care costs. The Medical Group provides a wide range of offerings, including primary care, specialty care, behavioral and mental health, and urgent care, both digitally as well as at physical locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine. The group also offers outpatient surgery and endoscopy, imaging, cardiac testing, and infusion. Job Summary Summary Responsible for responding to medical emergencies and delivering patient care, support, and evaluation in a pre-hospital setting, like on scene and during transport to the hospital. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma
  • Emergency Medical Technician required
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required
  • Emergency Medical Technician [EMT License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with a clean driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Emergency Medical Technician [NREMT-Basic] - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) preferred
  • Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
  • EMT Experience 0-1 year preferred
  • Current Massachusetts EMT Certification (Basic, Intermediate, or Paramedic)
  • CPR/BLS (Healthcare Provider) Certification
  • NREMT Certification
  • EMT experience

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care during transport
  • Safely operate and maintain ambulances and medical equipment
  • Assist with discharges and facility transfers professionally and respectfully
  • Accurately document patient care
  • Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care.
  • Provide patients with emergency care by utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Document patient information, condition, and treatment.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights.
  • Transport patients in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
  • Operate and drive an ambulance in conjunction with applicable safety policies and laws.
