Department : Education Position Overview : Under the direction of the Director of Training the EMT Instructor - will instruct and deliver all EMT training. The EMT Instructor will participate as a lab instructor of both ALS and BLS labs, build and maintain training files and monitor online training. Your employment with Jan-Care Ambulance is contingent upon the successful completion of all onboarding steps once an employment offer is made. Details of those steps will be discussed during the Onboarding process.

Requirements

  • Held EMT certification
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must have organization skills
  • Be proficient in all areas of Basic Life Support
  • Maintain a professional appearance and decorum
  • Ability to work as a team or independently

Nice To Haves

  • Would prefer proficiency in the selected computer software
  • Have the ability to act as a mentor to students
  • Have the ability to instruct and teach a diverse group
  • Computer Savvy

Responsibilities

  • Instruct and deliver all EMT training
  • Participate as a lab instructor of both ALS and BLS labs
  • Build and maintain training files
  • Monitor online training
  • Recruitment and retention to the educational programs
  • Ability to develop and carry through lesson plans
  • Build certification packets for WVOEMS
  • Produce weekly status reports
  • Carry and set up equipment for training
  • Manage all equipment and lab set up
