About The Position

Position Overview: Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, House Supervisor or Emergency Department Physician, provides care to the Emergency Department patient and obtains/transmits demographic data to other hospital departments.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Current EMT or Paramedic Certification from CA EMSA
• Current California Certified Phlebotomy license
• Current BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an EMT, Nursing Assistant, Nursing Student or Emergency Department/Admitting Clerk
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology/abbreviations
• Current ACLS Certification
• Current PALS Certification
