About The Position
Responsible for providing patients with support treatment, care, and evaluations prior to and during transportation. This position ensures patient safety and comfort during transport. Additionally, this role involves administering necessary medical interventions and monitoring patient responses. In addition, this position collaborates with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Additionally, this role maintains accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatments. This position contributes to the overall efficiency of patient transport services.
Requirements
- Graduated from an EMT program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) license required from the respective state board and/or respective state equivalent
Responsibilities
- Utilizes appropriate medical equipment and comprehends injury/medical severity
- Monitors patient conditions and aggregates data
- Communicates findings and patient conditions to aligned registered nurses, paramedics, and personnel.
- Assists crew with set up and preparation of Ventilator, Cardiac Monitor and IV line and Pumps.
- Responsible for charting documentation and patient care with BLS patients.
- Responsible to provide to receiving staff a full patient report.
