About The Position

The EMT position at Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service involves providing safe transportation and quality medical care to sick and injured individuals. EMTs will operate in various locations across Illinois and are expected to maintain a sanitary vehicle while ensuring the highest quality of care during emergencies and scheduled medical transports.

Requirements

• NREMT (National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) or current state license (or pending).
• Ability to provide medical care at the EMT or Paramedic level while safely transporting patients.
• Possess a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle in various conditions, including daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.
• Pass a pre-employment interview including a physical and lifting examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Attend company provided training and driving course.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate patient care as stipulated in their training as an EMT.
• Provide safe transportation, including accurately discerning street names and addresses.
• Appropriately assess a patient and accurately convey the condition to other medical professionals.
• Provide an accurate written report describing a patient's condition, medical history, and treatment provided.
• Provide appropriate documentation for billing information.
• Maintain the vehicle in sanitary condition and monitor all fluid levels and gauges.
