About The Position
Emergency Medical Services Academy – EMT Class Summary: EMT Certification Course is a 12-week program that involves completing a state-approved education program in Emergency Medical Technology, passing a cognitive and practical exam, and obtaining a license to practice in the State of New York Empress is currently recruiting individuals interested in joining our next “Earn to Learn” Academy program. Empress EMS is the largest provider of EMS in the Hudson Valley Region, providing both emergency and non-emergency transport of patients. Upon successfully passing the New York State Exam, the EMT will work on the frontlines of Empress EMS providing emergency treatment to the sick and injured. Empress EMS offers career paths for all EMTs within the organization, with the ability to grow within to different areas of EMS, including logistics, community paramedic division, Quality improvement, special operations division, and the emergency communications center. EMTS can also take advantage of the Empress EMS paramedic scholarship program to advance their careers to become a paramedic.
Requirements
- A valid Driver’s License- Driving record must meet company requirements.
- Satisfactorily completes all aspects of the pre-employment process administered by and /or for Empress Ambulance Service, LLC. inclusive of drug screening/background check and physical agility test (CPAT).
