Minimum requirements include being at least 18 years old, having a high school diploma or GED, having a valid driver’s license, meeting our pre-hire requirements and being ready to make a difference in your life and in our community. Summary: Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Services, the EMT Basic recruit will participate in assigned training and formal academic programs of instruction during the TRAA sponsored Ivy Tech EMT Basic Recruit Academy which is designed to qualify the incumbent to graduate the academy and fill the position of a TRAA EMT Basic in the field. Upon completion and graduation from the academy, the cadet will be ready to take the test to become a Nationally Registered EMT Basic who will then be eligible for reciprocity to obtain their Indiana State EMT Basic certification. After successfully obtaining state certification and completing new hire training via the TRAA field training program, the recruit will be promoted to the title of EMT Basic. This position will interact throughout the company, internally and with various external entities.
