The EMT-B/ED Tech position is a part-time role within the Ambulance department, requiring a minimum of 24 hours per month. The primary responsibilities include providing prompt and effective emergency medical care to patients of all ages in both emergency and non-emergency situations. This role involves stabilization and/or resuscitation of patients due to illness or injury in the field, following system protocols for care. Accurate documentation of care provided is essential. The position also requires adherence to the management structure as per Federal NIMS standards during scene management. Additionally, the EMT-B/ED Tech is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, and restocking of any equipment used within the ambulance. When not serving in the EMT-Basic role, the individual will function as an Emergency Department Technician.
