Responsibilities

• Prompt and regular attendance at work.
• Provide quality patient care utilizing thorough knowledge of protocols.
• Assess and treat medical situations with appropriate techniques and resources while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Keep the ambulance and equipment clean, organized, and ready for response.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the ambulance and equipment, reporting any defects to the supervisor.
• Foster positive and professional relationships within the community and EMS system.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the SOP and Sioux Falls REMSA Guidelines.
• Maintain current state certifications and attend required Continuing Medical Education (CME).
• Obtain Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) certification within one year of employment.
