About The Position

The EMT/Basic is responsible for delivering and administering high quality care and transportation to ill and injured persons. The EMT/Basic must demonstrate clinical competency and compassion in providing for physical and emotional needs of patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience as an EMT preferred
• Baccalaureate degree preferred
• Proficient in English; ability to read, write, and speak in English
• Current certification as a Nationally Registered EMT/Basic
• Current Florida EMT/Basic Licensure/Certification
• Current American Heart Association certification (Title: BLS for Healthcare Providers or BLS Provider)
• Current Red Cross certification (Title: CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers or BLS for Healthcare Providers)
• Current Military Training Network certification
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with Mayo Clinic policy.
