For over 60 years, Sanford Ambulance - Fargo, has been providing world-class pre-hospital care to the community that we love. We are a 9-1-1 and Non Emergent Interfacility Transport ambulance service that handles approximately 35,000 calls for service annually in the Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo metro area, as well as portions of Cass County, ND and Clay County, MN. Sanford Ambulance deploys ambulances throughout the communities that we serve, utilizing Computer Aided Dispatch software that incorporates Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) data and GPS. This technology, combined with Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols insure that the quickest available unit and appropriate resources are dispatched to every emergency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous EMT experience preferred.
• Completion of an accredited EMT training program required for eligibility to test with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians.
• Active EMT certification with NREMT by the time of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to be licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in both ND and MN.
• Must maintain current driver's license and exceptional driving record for purposes of insurability.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests for emergency medical services.
• Provide Basic Life Support (BLS) as appropriate.
• Demonstrate competency in delivering excellent care to sick and injured patients (adults/children/infants).
• Provide lifesaving interventions in a pre-hospital setting, both on-scene and during transport to a hospital Emergency Department.
