About The Position

EMS Systems Engineer Support information systems to ensure smooth, professional and cost effective operation of all IT systems. Maintain appropriate backup environment of software and data on using Avamar application. Generate and maintain effective documentation for processes and procedures to support IT functions. Ability to interface with cross-functional team members to gain the support required to accomplish their assignments. Provide patch management by reviewing, analyzing, testing and implementing vendors proposed changes, certificates, upgrades and patches. Support Information Assurance (IA) team with updating baseline security configurations aligned with DISA STIGs benchmarks. Provide training assistance to lower-level engineers Manage integrated data protection systems on site. Allocate and manage SAN disks and troubleshoot storage related issues. Maintain backup reports and availability policies. Supports hardware level maintenance and upgrades. Bachelor’s degree , 5 years IT experience or equivalent. Applicant Must Hold a Current Top Secret Clearance in order to be considered for this position. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation; Entry on Duty (EOD) and must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must demonstrate proficiency in Windows Server, Linux and Network operations and configuration. A proven track record of attention to detail and organization of duties and responsibilities. Experience with SAN from EMC, DELL, and Pivot3 desirable. Ability to respond after hours to service related requests. Position is on site with telework potential. Avamar , DELL VXRail and IDPA knowledge a plus The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree , 5 years IT experience or equivalent.
  • Applicant Must Hold a Current Top Secret Clearance in order to be considered for this position.
